Designing an experience around a shared mission.

Creating a cohesive conference experience that reinforced one message across every environment, stage and touchpoint.

THE CHALLENGE

How do you reinforce one message across thousands of people, dozens of speakers, multiple venues and every moment of a two-day event?

SEND Conference 2021 brought together nearly 10,000 believers from across North America and around the world following one of the most divisive seasons in recent history. The theme, Together on Mission, reminded attendees that while opinions, cultures and experiences may differ, the mission of the Church remains the same.

The challenge wasn't simply creating an event identity. It was building a visual system that unified multiple audience tracks, speakers, worship sessions and environments into one cohesive experience from the moment attendees arrived until they returned home.

The idea behind the identity.

The Together on Mission wordmark and woven pattern became the foundation of the entire conference experience.

The bold typographic treatment was intentionally designed to work across everything from large-scale stage environments to apparel, signage and digital media. The woven pattern symbolized people from different backgrounds coming together around a shared purpose, while its modular structure allowed it to adapt seamlessly across multiple conference tracks, colors and applications without losing its connection to the central message.

That flexibility made it possible to create distinct experiences for main sessions, women, students and kids while ensuring every attendee still felt part of one unified event.
